Support for family relationships, parenting and connection

Families can become strained when stress, trauma, developmental needs, communication difficulties or life transitions place pressure on relationships. Family therapy and parenting support provide a space to slow things down, understand what is happening and explore more helpful ways of responding.

San works respectfully with families, parents and carers to support connection, communication and emotional understanding. This may include family sessions, parent/carer sessions, parenting coaching, or support alongside a young person's individual therapy.

This work may help with

• Strengthening communication and understanding within the family

• Supporting parents and carers to respond to distress or challenging behaviour

• Understanding the impact of trauma or neurodivergence on family life

• Helping families find more compassionate and practical ways forward
